Tom WheatonTom Wheaton-Vice Chair

Tom is a retired Head Teacher. He was a County Councillor and Borough Councillor for 5 years and Borough Mayor for 2 years. For over 30 years, he was an Employment Tribunal Member and is currently Secretary of the Bracknell Forest Teachers Association and Secretary of the Birch Hill and Hanworth Community Liaison Group. He has considerable experience of working with others, identifying goals, devising strategies, leading teams and keeping people informed.

Barbara McMinniesBarbara McMinnies

Barbara and her husband have four children and four grandchildren. Her career in retail went from the shop floor to senior management, giving her a good working knowledge of accounting, stock and cash control, working as part of a team setting targets and reaching them, and good customer liaison skills. Having lived in Bracknell for over 30 years, Barbara got involved with the transfer first attending DWA (the Independent Tenant Advisor) meetings. She was one of the tenants who helped negotiate the Offer Document to get the best deal for the tenants.

Mike Skinner Michael Skinner

Michael has lived in the surrounding area most of his life and has seen many changes in his time. He currently works for an international organisation holding a senior IT position and has held similar roles for the last 15 years. He has worked for many corporate organisations within the UK and abroad, including government and private sector organisations and he has a very wide ranging skill set including an in-depth knowledge of the building and housing sectors. Michael has many hobbies but his favourites are archaeology, scuba diving and golf.

Council Board Members

Bob Edger Bob Edger

Councillor Bob Edger OBE is the elected member for College Town, Sandhurst and was formerly the Boroughs Tenant and Leaseholder Champion. He has previous experience in housing management and welfare and was once an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and a Member of the British Institute of Management. Bob is currently Chairman of the Councils Overview and Scrutiny Commission and Employment Committee and is also Deputy Mayor of the Borough.

Anne ShillcockAnne Shillcock

Anne has lived in Bracknell, on Gt Hollands, for over 40 years. Now retired, she was a Special Needs teacher working with pre-school children. Her son and daughter grew up in the area and they and her three grandchildren still live locally. She has represented Great Hollands on Bracknell Forest Council for 23 years and during this time her main interest has been housing issues. Anne was a member of the Housing Steering/Transfer Group which worked with the tenants in the run-up to the formation of the Housing Board of the new Bracknell Forest Homes of which she is now a board member.

Chris TurrellChris Turrell

A Bracknell resident since 1993, Chris Turrell has been a councillor since 2000, serving on Bracknell Forest Borough Council and Bracknell Town Council. He has taken an interest in housing over this time, being involved with looking at the Borough Housing Strategy and the Housing Needs Survey. He is fully supportive of the need to maintain good homes and carry out continuing improvements, and the importance of this to people's quality of life. He has worked in the hotel industry for over 20 years.

Bob WadeBob Wade - Vice Chair

As a Chartered Engineer in electronic design and project management, his business career has spanned from small to multinational, large scale projects. This, coupled with Bobs detailed knowledge of the Council and Bracknell Forest as a Councillor for Crowthorne, has provided him with considerable insight and experience to represent the Bracknell Forest Homes. He aims to ensure that the delivery of better homes and services is achieved in the most efficient, appropriate and timely way in consultation with the residents involved.

Independent Board Members

David ModyDavid Mody

David has considerable commercial experience in leading large scale change and improvement programmes. Currently he is a Programme Manager with BT and has previously held high profile programme and project roles for Vodafone and Electrolux. David has an MBA from Henley Management College and Honours degrees in Business Management and Public Policy from Aston University. As a local resident, David is keen to help the new association achieve success and deliver results.

Tim Chaudhry Tim Chaudhry

Tim has some 10 years experience of working with Local Authorities and housing associations in the areas of property maintenance, asset management, development and regeneration and is currently employed as a Development consultant. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building, the British Urban Regeneration Association and the Town and Country Planning Association. Tim is in the process of completing his MSC in International Business Management.

Henry PringleHenry Pringle

Henry has over 15 years' extensive knowledge and experience in Strategic Sourcing for both the private and public sectors. He has a proven international track record of transforming procurement performance and delivering savings. He holds an MBA from Birmingham University, an honours business degree, a diplôme in International Management from a leading French Business School and is fully MCIPS qualified. Henry is currently working in the Outsourcing sector and brings a wealth of management experience to the Board.

Dermot McRobertsDermot McRoberts - Chair

Dermot has over 25 years' experience of working with local authority housing services and housing associations. An accountant by profession, he has been employed as Finance Director by two large scale voluntary transfer associations and has acted as interim Chief Executive of several associations. Dermot has conducted numerous research projects for Government and the Housing Corporation, including on business planning and rent reforms. In addition, he is a specialist in funding, risk management, corporate strategy and project appraisal. He is currently Group Finance Director of a substantial RSL group and Housing Corporation investment partner.
